How long does a typical bathroom renovation take?
How long a bathroom renovation takes depends on the scope. A simple refresh (new fixtures, tile, paint) is quicker than a full gut renovation with layout changes, plumbing relocation, and custom features; your written quote includes the schedule. We provide a detailed timeline during your consultation.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. We obtain all required permits, coordinate inspections, and ensure your bathroom meets BC Building Code requirements. This includes plumbing, electrical, and structural work. You don't need to deal with municipalities — we handle everything.
Can you work with my existing layout or do I need to move plumbing?
We can work with either approach. Keeping fixtures in their current locations saves cost and time. Moving plumbing allows for better layouts but adds complexity and expense. We'll show you both options with honest cost breakdowns during consultation.
What about waterproofing and moisture protection?
Every bathroom we build includes proper waterproofing membranes, sealed shower pans, correct slope for drainage, and moisture-resistant materials. This is non-negotiable — we won't compromise on what protects your home long-term.
Do you work in condos? What about strata requirements?
Yes, we regularly renovate condo bathrooms across Metro Vancouver. We handle strata approvals, coordinate with building management, protect common areas, and follow strata-specific rules around work hours and access.
How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Metro Vancouver?
Our 2026 planning ranges run: a powder-room refresh at $8,000–$18,000, a standard full bathroom at $18,000–$35,000 (most full renovations land in the upper half of that band once tile, glass and fixtures are chosen), and a primary ensuite at $35,000–$65,000. What does a tub-to-shower conversion involve?
It's the region's most requested bathroom change. Done properly it means a full waterproofing system, a correctly sloped base and drainage sized to the new shower — not just a glass panel where the tub was. Relocating any drain line typically adds $3,000–$8,000, and drainage shortcuts are exactly where cut-rate conversions fail.
