Privacy Policy

This website, www.pccrenovations.ca, is operated by Pacific Coast Contracting Ltd., doing business as PCC Renovations (“PCC,” “we,” “us”), a renovation contractor serving Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. • Information you give us. When you request a consultation or contact us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and any project details you choose to share. The same applies when you phone or email us directly.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect technical data — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you found us — through cookies and the analytics tools described in section 6. Until you accept non-essential cookies, Google’s measurement tags receive this only in cookieless, non-identifying form (section 6); our hosting providers still process your IP address to serve each page.
• Advertising information. If you arrive from one of our advertisements, the web address you land on can include campaign details (such as the campaign name and keyword) and a Google Ads click identifier. The campaign details are remembered for that visit in your browser (not in a cookie) and sent with any inquiry you make, so we can tell which advertisement led to it. The click identifier is kept and sent with an inquiry only if you have accepted non-essential cookies in the banner. The exception is the few forms provided by HubSpot (section 4): they read the click identifier from the web address themselves and may send it with the inquiry whether or not you used the banner. Whether or not you came from an advertisement, and whether or not you have used the banner, we also send with any inquiry you make the first page you opened on this website, as its address without any part after a question mark or hash sign, and the name of the website that sent you here if it was another one, such as google.com (the name of that site only, never the page you were on), so we can tell how you found us. Both are kept for that visit in the session storage of this browser tab, not in a cookie.
• We do not ask for payment information through this website.

• To respond to your inquiry and schedule or provide your estimate;
• To deliver and manage renovation services you engage us for, including service-related communications;
• With your consent, to send occasional marketing messages in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) — you can unsubscribe at any time;
• To understand how the website is used and improve it and our advertising.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business:

• HubSpot — our customer relationship system, where form submissions are stored so our team can follow up;
• Google — analytics and advertising measurement: full measurement only after you accept non-essential cookies; before you choose, or if you decline, only cookieless, non-identifying signals (section 6);
• Hosting and delivery providers (Render, Cloudflare) that operate this website.

These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Advertising measurement. If you accept non-essential cookies and then submit a form on this site, we also send your email address and phone number to Google Ads so we can tell which advertisement led to your inquiry. Before they are sent, those details are turned into a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) in your browser, so Google does not receive them in readable form — but Google can match that code against its own records, so this is still a sharing of information about you. If you decline non-essential cookies, or have not answered the banner, none of this is sent. You can also limit ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.

Some of our providers, including HubSpot and our hosting provider, store and process data outside Canada, primarily in the United States. While in another country, your information may be accessible to that country’s authorities under its laws. If you have questions about our cross-border handling of personal information, contact us at the address in section 1.

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. No non-essential cookie is set until you choose. If you accept, we use Google Analytics to measure site traffic and Google Ads to measure our advertising. If you decline, or do not answer, no analytics or advertising cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device; Google’s tags still receive basic cookieless signals from the pages you load and from actions such as sending a form (the page address, the fact that an inquiry was sent, and an approximate location from your IP address), which are used only for aggregate measurement and cannot be linked to you across visits. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser, and most browsers let you block cookies entirely. Declining does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.

We keep personal information for as long as needed to handle your inquiry or project, and afterwards as needed to meet legal, tax, and warranty obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

The site is served over HTTPS, access to stored information is limited to people who need it, and we use reputable providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to our use of it (which may limit our ability to respond or provide services). We will respond to requests as required by the BC Personal Information Protection Act and PIPEDA. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 19 without a parent or guardian’s consent.

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date.
