1. Pacific greige — the workhorse

Where it works best: smaller homes that benefit from visual expansion, heritage streets with neutral colour guidelines, and any facade that gets mixed sun and shade through the day.

2. Rainforest greens — borrowed from the landscape

Earthy, muted greens sit naturally against BC's cedars and ferns, and they are practical too: green hides the algae and moss shadowing that coastal walls pick up in shaded corners.

Pairs well with: natural stone or basalt cladding, black-framed windows for a modern contrast, and established gardens — the house reads as part of the landscape rather than an object dropped on it.

3. Coastal blues — for light-starved and view-side walls

Soft, grey-leaning blues brighten shaded elevations and hold their character under overcast light. On homes near the water they echo the setting; on inland streets they read crisp and cared-for.

Where it works best: shaded frontages that need lift, waterfront and view homes, and condos or townhomes wanting a clean, contemporary edge.
